We’re proud to announce that Gulf Harbour Marina has joined the SeaKeepers South Pacific Marina Partner network, strengthening our commitment to protecting and better understanding the marine environment that surrounds us.
The partnership connects our marina and boating community with The International SeaKeepers Society, a global organisation that works with the boating community to support marine science, conservation and education.
Connecting Boaters with Marine Science
As a Marina Partner, Gulf Harbour Marina will help create new opportunities for vessel owners and marina users to get involved in initiatives that contribute to the health and understanding of our oceans.
Through SeaKeepers, the boating community can support a range of activities, including citizen science projects, marine research, conservation programmes and educational initiatives. The organisation also connects vessels and their owners with scientists and researchers, helping provide access to the marine environment for important research and data collection.
For Gulf Harbour Marina, located on the doorstep of the Hauraki Gulf, it’s a partnership that feels particularly relevant. Our community spends a huge amount of time on and around the water, and this provides another way for boat owners to play an active role in looking after the marine environment they enjoy.
